AIISH professor to give talks in Singapore, Japan

Ajish K. Abraham, Professor, Department of Electronics, All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH), Mysuru, has been invited by the Department of Computer Science, School of Computing, National University of Singapore (NUS) to deliver a talk on November 23. He will be speaking on ‘Research problems in speech processing for speech and hearing disorders’.

NUS is ranked 1st in Asia Pacific and 22nd in the world by the 2018 Times Higher Education World University Rankings, and 11th in the world by the 2019 QS World University Rankings. During the visit, Dr. Ajish will also interact with the faculty of NUS regarding possible collaborations in the area of speech processing for rehabilitation of persons with communication disorders, a press release from AIISH stated.

Dr. Ajish has also been invited for the 20th annual conference of the ‘World Academy of Science Engineering and Technology (WASET)’ in Kyoto, Japan on November 15 and 16. He will present a paper titled ‘Efficacy of a Wiener filter based technique for speech enhancement in hearing aids’ at the conference, the release added.
