Abhay Patil has been entrusted with the party’s campaign in some districts of north Karnataka.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) appointed Abhay Patil, former two-time MLA from Belagavi, as the Sabha Pramukh of Karnataka’s ‘Maha Sampark Abhiyaan’, a nationwide drive to connect the newly enrolled 10 crore party workers in the country.

Mr. Patil said here on Tuesday the party had entrusted him with the responsibility of effectively carrying on the objectives of the campaign in the districts of north Karnataka viz. Bagalkot, Belagavi, Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri and Vijayapura.

Workers connect

He said the BJP had launched the campaign to connect its workers and enlighten them about the party’s ideology and functioning of the NDA government at the Centre.

Digitally engaging

The IT Cell of the party was working on developing digital literature that would be regularly forwarded to party workers on their mobile phones.

The workers would also be informed of achievements and development measures initiated by the Union government and other States where the party was in power, he said.

The party had taken effective measures to strengthen the bridge between the organisation and its workers, which would go a long way in achieving various objectives of the party, he added.
