AAP protests against ‘apathy’ towards patients

February 03, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:44 am IST - MYSURU:

Accusing doctors and staff at Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research at K.R. Hospital in Mysuru of showing apathy towards patients referred from other hospitals, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers staged a protest here on Tuesday.

A group of AAP workers went to the institute premises on Monday night.

They claimed that there was only one doctor on duty to take care of patients in the emergency. AAP workers submitted a memorandum to Health Minister U.T. Khader and handed it to Superintendent of Jayadeva Institute of Cardio-Vascular Sciences and Research Sadanand.
