Amidst growing dissidence in the state BJP, Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa today offered prayers at the Goddess Chamudeshwari temple here to “forgive him for wrongdoings done knowingly or unknowingly”.

Emerging out of the temple where elaborate arrangements had been made to conduct special pooja, Mr. Yeddyurappa spoke to the media and revealed what he had prayed for in the temple.

He denied that there was any dissidence in the party and sought to play down state party Chief K S Eshwarappa’s meeting with some ministers and party MLAs.

Mr. Yeddyurappa described the meeting a “routine one” and said it was more to discuss about the ensuing bypolls to three Assembly seats.
