Two ‘illegally’ transporting cattle assaulted

Two men transporting cattle in a pick-up vehicle were allegedly assaulted by a group of youth in Balthila village under Bantwal police limits on Wednesday. According to the police, the youth assaulted driver Sadiq and helper Sanjay D’Souza on the charge that they were illegally transporting the cattle. Bantwal Town Police visited the spot and took the accused and the vehicle into custody before registering a case.

The police have also registered a case of assault.
