The Karnataka High Court, on Wednesday, expressed displeasure over the State Police Complaints Authority (SPCA) and the State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) for not acting suo motu against the police excess against villagers of Dharwad district during the recent agitation over Mahadayi water dispute.

The court sought action taken report from the SHRC by August 5 about the incident while questioning why none of the officers of the SHRC have visited this places.

The Court was hearing a petition, through which it has been monitoring the issue of lack of infrastructure to both the SPCA and the SHRC.

Further hearing has been adjourned till August 5.
