Vikas Academy has drawn up plans for improving the educational standards of schools and colleges in Hyderabad-Karnataka region. It includes training of teachers, members of boards of managements of education institutes, regular interactions with parents, engaging with civil society organisations and exposure to lectures by academicians and experts in various fields.

All this is part of the “Kalyan Karnataka vision 20:20,” a document that outlines a detailed map for the overall development of Hyderabad-Karnataka region. It will be released in Bidar on January 24, Revanasiddappa Jalade, academy convenor told presspersons in Bidar on Tuesday.

Bidar district may be the last in the State when it comes to performance in SSLC and PUC, but by 2020, we want to make the top district in Hyderabad-Karnataka region and one of the best in the State, he said.

District incharge minister Eshwar Khandre will release the document. Rajya Sabha member Basavaraj Patil Sedam, academy founder and others will be present.
