3 from city die in Mandya accident

Three persons from Bengaluru were killed and two were grievously injured in an accident on the outskirts of Mandya town, on the Bengaluru–Mysuru highway on Wednesday night.

The victims are Shivanna (61), Mahesh (40), and Kanakaraju (47). Venkatesh Murthy (50) and Chandrashekar (60) have been admitted to the Mandya Institute of Medical Sciences hospital here. All five had been to Mysuru and were returning to Bengaluru when their vehicle collided with a Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation bus, the Mandya West police said.
