17 arrested on the charge of gambling in two cases

The police have arrested 17 persons in two cases on the charge of indulging in gambling in a public place at Siddeshwar Colony in the city on Wednesday and seized nearly ₹ 62,000 in cash from them. The police gave the names of the arrested persons as Atmanand Shivkeri, Rahul Kamble, Kumar Kattimani, Sundar Yadgiri, Amar Tandle, Nagesh Tikare and Srikant Tandurker. They seized ₹ 45,630 in cash from them. In the other case, the police raided a group of people indulging in gambling near Siddarodh Mutt and seized ₹ 16,200 in cash from Prabhaya Swamy Yakkanchi, Sangappa Jeratagi, Santosh Sajjan, Chennabasappa Hugar, Avinash Gajul, Arunkumar Mathpati, Ashok Patil, Basavaraj Srigiri, Siddram Nelogi and Raju Sajjan.

Cases have been registered at the Gulbarga University Police Station.
