India issues Pakistan diplomatic demarche

India handed Pakistan a diplomatic demarche, summoning Pakistani Deputy High Commissioner Mansoor Ahmed Khan to the External Affairs Ministry on Wednesday.

In its demarche, India lodged its protest over the increase in shelling and cross-border firing by Pakistani Rangers, especially along the R.S. Pura sector that has targeted civilians.

Twenty civilians have been killed on both sides of the boundary.
