Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is in India for a week-long visit, during which he will hold talks with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi on wide-ranging issues, including defence, and counter-terror cooperations.
During his visit, Trudeau will interact with business leaders, representatives of the film industry, and students.
He also visited the Taj Mahal and the Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad. He took part in a ceremony at Akshardham temple in Gandhinagar, and participated in an event at IIM-Ahmedabad.

He began his first day by taking a tour of the Taj Mahal. He left a message of gratitude, describing Taj as 'one of the most beautiful places in the world' in his entry in the visitor's log book.
Dressed in traditional Indian attire, the Trudeau family visited the Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad. In the visitors book, he wrote, “A beautiful place of peace, humility and truth, that is as needed today as it was ever.”
Mr. Trudeau, along with his family members, performs a ritual during his visit to Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple in Gandhinagar.
Mr. Trudeau met with many industrialists in Mumbai on the fourth day of his visit, including Kumar Mangalam Birla, Chairman of Aditya Birla Group.
He took part in an armchair discussion at the Indian Institute of Management in Ahmedabad.

Meanwhile, Ms. Sophie Gregoire Trudeau visited Sophia College in Mumbai and interacted with the students.
