If BJP can continue to introduce Lord Ram every time before elections, the Trinamool Congress too can bring in Goddess Durga, said party chief Mamata Banerjee.
“[If] their leader is Ram, [then] our leader is Durga. Do not forget that Ram used to worship Ma Durga,” Ms Banerjee said at a public meeting in Jamboni block in Jhargram district on Monday. She said her “doesn’t sell the name of god to earn votes.” BJP had performed considerably well in Jhargram district in the recent panchayat polls.
