Hiral Lal Sibal passes away

Hira Lal Sibal, known as the “living legend of law” and father of Union Minister Kapil Saibal, passed away here on Saturday after a brief illness. He was 98.

With top political leaders and legal luminaries of the region in attendance, he was cremated after a state funeral accorded by the Punjab government in recognition of his illustrious services in law and jurisprudence.

Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and Food and Civil Supplies Minister Adesh Partap Singh Kairon attended the funeral.
