Union Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore on Thursday faced the heat in the Lok Sabha over the Athletics Federation of India’s tweet on ace athlete Hima Das ’ lack of fluency in English, with Congress member Gaurav Gogoi asking for his response to it.
Col. Rathore, himself an Olympic medallist, refused to respond. Mr. Gogoi alleged that the Minister had chosen to side with the Federation instead of condemning its action and standing by the athlete.
