Mr. Geelani was called for questioning and asked about the “anti-India” slogans raised by participants at an event where he was the speaker.

A magistrate then went to Chanakyapuri Police Station, about 7 km away from Patiala House Court, for the hearing when the police said Mr. Geelani was not required for any further custodial interrogation so he be remanded to judicial custody.
