Former Director-General of the Central Reserve Police Force, Prakash Mishra, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi is very much concerned about nation’s security. I have seen that whenever we achieved any success, the PM personally encouraged us,” said Mr. Mishra, who is likely to be fielded from the Cuttack Lok Sabha constituency.

“If any mishap takes place, PM immediately expresses concern and wants to know what happened, how it happened and how to prevent it. The country’s response to the Pulwama attack was of very high order,” he said.
