Fire breaks out at Delhi’s CGO complex

It is an 11-storey building that houses important government offices.

A fire erupted at the Pandit Deendayal Antyodaya Bhawan at the CGO Complex in New Delhi on March 6 morning. No casualties have been reported.

At least 24 fire tenders fought the blaze.

Chief Fire Officer of the Delhi Fire Services Atul Garg said the fire broke out on the 5 th floor of the building at 8:34 a.m. Initially, 10 fire tenders were rushed to the spot, but as the fire was huge, more fire tenders were pressed into service. High-rise cranes were also used.

 

According to the fire department, the blaze started from the office of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. The fire falls under the 'big' category.

The CGO complex is an 11-storey building that houses important government offices.
