The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered an FIR against a Delhi-based company and 14 others for alleged irregularities in the recruitment of 53 watch & ward staff for the Food Corporation (FCI).

In 2017, the FCI had outsourced the process of recruitment to Ace Integrated Solutions. Accordingly, a written examination was conducted in February 2018 and 171 candidates were short-listed. In all, 96 had qualified.

While 53 candidates were empanelled by the agency, 43 were kept on the waiting list. However, during the subsequent verification of answer sheets of the short-listed candidates, FCI officials found grave irregularities revealing that several of them had not appeared for the written examination.
