Evacuation from Yemen continues

Indian evacuation efforts in Yemen are continuing though they have been clearly scaled down with over 4,500 brought back so far.

On Thursday evening, two C-17s left for Djibouti which will return with people early morning on Friday, Air Force officials said.

On the sea front, Naval ship INS Sumitra has left Al Mukalla port with 349 evacuees and scheduled to reach Djibuoti on Friday morning. INS Tarkash was directed from Djibouti and will reach Aden on Friday. Though air operations were to be curtailed on Thursday there has been no confirmation on that.

World hails India

With over 500 foreign nationals moved out of Yemen, there is global praise for Indian evacuation efforts and #YemenEvacuation was trending on twitter with rescue stories.
