ED conducts searches in land case

Former Haryana CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda is an accused in the case

The Enforcement Directorate on Thursday conducted searches in connection with the alleged irregularities in purchase of 400-acres of land from villagers in neighbouring Gurugram. Former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda is an accused in the case.

The searches were conducted at 10 locations in Haryana.

According to the ED, searches were conducted on the Haryana and Delhi premises of serving IAS official, Rajeev Arora, who is currently a Joint Secretary in the Labour Ministry; retired IAS official D.R. Dhingra; Surjit Singh, and the then Chief Town Planner and Director Planning of Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited.

Searches were also carried out against K. Lamba, the then Superintendent of State’s Department of Industries and Commerce, and four other persons.
