Army launches website on Uttarakhand relief

Suryahopes.in provides information about the location of people, helpline numbers, lists of those rescued and their current location.

The Indian Army on Wednesday launched a website — >suryahopes.in — to provide updates on the whereabouts of people stranded in disaster-hit Uttarakhand.

The site also provides information about the location of people, helpline numbers, lists of those rescued and their current location.

A spokesman for the Central Command told IANS that the website was a one-stop helpline for people in distress following the natural calamity in Uttarakhand.
