YSRCP official spokesperson Ambati Rambabu on Sunday said “certain forces” had been harassing the family members of the former Chief Minister, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, after his demise.

At a press conference here, Mr. Rambabu launched a frontal attack on the Congress and the TDP, and said the two parties had got together to harass YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy by foisting cases against him. He said, unable to digest the huge response to Mr. Jagan’s ‘Odarpu Yatra’ in the past, the two parties got cases booked against him. This time, the good response to the Praja Sankalpa Yatra was the trigger to target Mr. Jagan’s wife Bharati. He said Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu had planted his men in key institutions to target political adversaries.

Mr. Rambabu wondered how was it possible for a couple of prominent newspapers to publish in advance that the Enforcement Directorate was filing a charge-sheet against Y.S. Bharati. He said it was a ploy to defame the YSRCP.

Mr. Rambabu said Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy had met the Prime Minister in the past to complaint that a couple of officials in the ED had been working in favour of the TDP. He said, unfortunately, the YSRCP was unable to take its version to the people as Mr. Naidu had been “managing” the media.
