April 17, 2014 09:16 pm | Updated July 01, 2016 03:30 pm IST - ONGOLE:

Asserting that the YSR Congress will come to power in the State, party senior leader Balineni Srinivasa Reddy on Thursday maintained that his party would also play a decisive role at the Centre after the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.

He was speaking to the media after filing his nomination from the Ongole Assembly segment. His brother-in-law and former Chief Minister CM YSR’s co-brother Y.V.Subba Reddy also filed nomination from the Ongole Lok Sabha seat.

“We will extend support to a particular combination of parties to form the government at the Centre after getting an assurance from the latter on protecting the State’s interests, the former Minister said.

Panabaka flayed

Taking strong exception to the comments by Union Minister Panabaka Lakshmi that any vote for the YSRC indirectly meant strengthening the hands of the BJP, he said that neither was it the BJP nor the Congress this time. The Third Front can also get a chance to form the government at the centre.”

He promised develop the underground drainage system in Ongole, if voted to power.
