YSRC slams CM’s Rythu Bharosa Yatra

YSR Congress on Monday alleged that the Rythu Bharosa Yatra was aimed at fooling farmers and demanded the government declare all mandals in the State drought-affected instead of launching a yatra.

YSRC’s spokesperson Tammineni Seetharam made light of the proposed programme and alleged that the policies of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu never helped farmers.

With deficit rainfall and not a single fresh loan being given to farmers, he said, the time has come for declaring mandals as drought-affected and announcing packages instead of going on yatras.

He said the lack of seriousness of the government has been exposed as it was yet to unveil the contingency plan for agriculture.

Mr. Seetharam also demanded the government to provide relief to farmers who are bearing the brunt with loan waiver coming a cropper and rains playing truant.
