The Gopalapatnam police on Tuesday night arrested a Nellore-based youngster for allegedly threatening a girl to send her intimate photos, in Visakhapatnam.
The accused was identified as Srinivasa Rao (22), a resident of Nellore
According to Gopalapatnam police, Srinivasa Rao, who works in a hardware shop at Nellore, came into contact with a girl from Gopalapatnam region through a missed call and started to establish a relationship. Recently, he asked the girl to send her intimate photographs and threatened to send chats to her parents if she failed to do so. Frightened girl informed about the issue to her parents, who in turn lodged the complaint.
Based on the complaint, Gopalapatnam police registered a case and arrested the accused and booked cases under Sections 509,506 of IPC and 67 of IT Act. The arrested has been sent to remand.
