Will move HCagainst EC, says K.A. Paul

Praja Santhi Party (PSP) chief K.A. Paul has said that he will move High Court against the injustice meted out to his party whose election Form A and Form B were stolen and the nominations were filed by unknown candidates supported by the Telugu Desam Party and the YSR Congress Party.

At a press conference here, Mr. Paul also demanded the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora and postponement of the elections in AP to look into the allegations.

He alleged that the Election Commission has given helicopter symbol for some independent candidates in the State though Praja Santhi Party holds the same symbol.

He said the PSP filed nominations in 75 Assembly and 10 Parliamentary constituencies and most of them have been rejected by the Election Commission.

“B-forms (of PSP) given by other candidates have been accepted. Now, we don’t know who’s contesting in the name of PSP. All this was done by the Election Commission under the pressure of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu,” Mr. Paul said.

He also accused YSRCP chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy of colluding with the Election Commission for withholding PSP’s symbol ‘helicopter’. Mr. Paul also accused JSP chief Pawan Kalyan of corruption and selling party tickets.

On Saturday, Mr. Paul complained at the office of Chief Electoral Officer that his party’s forms were stolen and the same were filed by persons supported by other parties without his consent.

He said his party candidates in Kurnool got threats from members of the YSRCP.
