Light to heavy rainfall occurred in several locations across the State following the arrival of the southwest monsoon.
Heavy rainfall occurred in Addanki of Prakasam, Srisailam of Kurnool, Peddapuram and Cumbum along with several other places that received light to moderate rainfall, according to the India Meteorological Department.
Also, it was cloudy in several locations and the maximum temperatures registered were below normal at most parts of the state. Vijayawada registered a maximum temperature of 34.5 degrees Celsius.
Light to moderate rainfall is very likely to occur in many places of Coastal Andhra and few places of Rayalaseema on Monday, according to IMD forecast. A similar forecast has been issued for Tuesday and Wednesday.
