Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s reply to the no-confidence motion tabled in Parliament on Friday lacked clarity on the benefits the Centre bestowed on the State, said Labour Minister Pithani Satyanarayana on Saturday. Addressing the media here, Mr. Satyanarayana said Mr. Modi, while categorically stating that he would do justice to the State, did not give details of the form of such assistance and the manner in which it would be given.
Though the TDP lacked the numbers, the aim was to take to the democratic method to portray the anguish of the people and highlight the Centre’s failure to fulfil promises, he said, and claimed the TDP succeeded in its endeavour.
The State was not only deprived of a Capital city but also proper connectivity.
Balanced development
“It is a fact that successive governments had adopted Hyderabad-centric development and neglected other areas. The need for balanced development of all the regions is being badly felt today,” the Minister observed.
The BJP should understand the spirit behind the no-confidence motion and come forward to extend the assistance needed to develop the State on all the fronts, he said.
