Water supply to be hit in Guntur for two days

There will be no water supply to several localities in Guntur on July 1 and 2 owing to maintenance works taken up by the Guntur Municipal Corporation. Water supply will be restored on the morning of July 3.

The areas which will be affected are Lalapet, Cawthra, China Bazaar, Patnam Bazaar, R. Agraharam, Srinivasa Rao Thota, Kannavari Thota, Nagarampalem, Sangadigunta, Ranigari Thota, Sambasiva Raopet, Potlurivari Veedhi, Syamaladas Agraharam, Rajagarithota, Old Club Road, Ramireddythota, Kothapet and Railpet, according to a press release by Municipal Commissioner K. Kanna Babu.

The GMC is undertaking repair to plug leaks in the water pipeline from the Sangam Jagarlamudi filtration plant.
