Viveka murder: YS family members questioned

Officials of the Special Investigation Team (SIT), probing the murder of former minister Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy questioned the family members, on Sunday.

The third day’s probe was largely confined to summoning the close family members to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) office in Pulivendula, especially the YS brothers viz., Y.S. Bhaskar Reddy, Y.S. Manohar Reddy and Y.S. Pratap Reddy, former Member of Parliament Y.S. Avinash Reddy (son of Bhaskar Reddy).

Viveka’s daughter Y.S. Sunitha Reddy, N. Rajasekhara Reddy and brother-in-law Prakash Reddy were also quizzed at their residence.

Additional Director-General (CID) Amit Garg, former SP Abhishek Mohanty, Superintendent of Police Rahul Dev Sharma visited the Pulivendula residence and interacted with the personnel.

Indications from SIT point out that Viveka had a dispute with his brother Pratap Reddy over mining two months back.

SIT members took Yerra Gangi Reddy, driver Prasad, personal assistant Krishna Reddy and maid Lakshmi into custody for questioning.
