Village Secretariat posts: certificate verification begins in Anantapur

Sufficient candidates not qualified for Animal Husbandry category

The process of certificate verification for the qualified candidates for the Grama Sachivalaya posts began in Anantapur district at five locations on Tuesday, though it was supposed to start on Monday.

District Collector S. Satyanarayana, at a press conference here on Tuesday, said that the process would continue for all the qualified persons who had been intimated through an SMS and e-mail based on the cut-off marks for selection in 13 different categories/departments. The 896 Grama Sachivalayas or secretariats would start functioning from October 2, he added.

After the verification of certificates uploaded by the candidates, based on the reservation, appointment letters would be sent to the candidates, he said.

In all, 8,545 posts were notified, but in Animal Husbandry category sufficient number of candidates had not qualified for all the vacancies.

EBC quota not notified

While all regular quotas in jobs would be provided, the Economically Backward Classes quota of 10% for jobs was not notified by the State government so far.

The government had notified the 10% reservation in education / academic seats, but a similar G.O. was not given for the jobs, though the Central law provides for 10% EBC reservation in jobs too.
