The State government has reappointed V. Vijaya Sai Reddy, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha as the Special Representative of the Government of Andhra Pradesh at Andhra Pradesh Bhavan in New Delhi.
A government order has been issued with immediate effect on Sunday.
Mr. Vijaya Sai Reddy was first appointed as the Special Representative with cabinet rank on June 22.
Later, as Mr. Reddy who is an MP is not supposed to hold any office of profit the appointment was cancelled on July 4.
On July 6, Friday an ordinance adding the Office of Special Representative to the Schedule of the Andhra Pradesh Payment of Salaries and Pension and Removal of Disqualification Act, 1953 has been published as the Andhra Pradesh Payment of Salaries and Pension and Removal of Disqualifications (Amendment) Ordinance, 2019.
Following the ordinance, Mr. Reddy has been reappointed as the Special Representative of the Govt. of AP at the Andhra Pradesh Bhavan.
State guest
As per the order, Mr. Reddy as the Special Representative will be accorded the status of a State guest.
He will not be entitled to any other perks.
