Yogi Vemana University Vice-Chancellor B. Syamasundar unveiled the statues of Yogi Vemana and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar on the university campus.
Dr. Ambedkar studied in Columbia University in US and in Bonn University in Germany and was one of the framers of the Indian Constitution, the Vice-Chancellor said while paying tributes to him. Yogi Vemana was a philosopher and social reformer, he said.
YVU Engineering College principal Jayachandra Reddy, faculty members R. Chandrasekhar Reddy, N. Easwaraiah, Ramakrishna Reddy, Subbarayudu, R. Damu and Satish, Ambedkar Mission general secretary A. Sampath Kumar, Dalit Praja Party president Sangati Manohar and Dalit leaders J.V. Ramana and R. Ramachandraiah participated.
