Vasupalli, Ganta stay away from TDP meeting

Leaders free to choose their future course of action: Ayyanna

TDP senior leader Ch. Ayyanna Patrudu on Sunday said that his party was an industry with specialisation in producing leaders.

He made the comment when he was asked at a press conference on the absence of two party MLAs at the party meetings for a long time, which fuelled speculation that they would be joining the YSRCP.

In an oblique reference to MLAs Ganta Srinivasa Rao and Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar, he said, as the TDP had become an industry, the leaders had the freedom to decide their future course of action.

Both the MLAs were absent at the district coordination committee meeting convened by district in-charge N. Chinarajappa.

Besides Mr. Patrudu, urban district president S.A. Rehaman, former MLAs Palla Srinivasa Rao, P.G.V.R. Naidu and Anita attended the meeting.

“Viewers keep changing TV channels. In politics, leaders keep changing parties,” Mr. Patrudu quipped.

The TDP, which was founded by legendary actor N.T. Rama Rao, had produced several leaders, including Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhara Rao, he added.
