Vacancies will be filled, says DGP

Stating that the shifting of various offices of the Police Department from Hyderabad to Andhra Pradesh was going on in a phased manner, Director-General of Police J.V. Ramudu on Saturday said that the department would be strengthened further by filling up the vacancies and setting up a training centre in the State.

Mr. Ramudu laid foundation stone for the construction of the regional office of the CID here on the premises of the SP’s office.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that after the division of the State, one regional office of the CID was set up at Guntur and the one in Rajahmundry would be second in the State.

“We are contemplating on introducing paperless office and a pilot project will be started at Eluru in West Godavari district very soon. Similarly, we are planning to extend e-click to all over the State, so that it will be easier for the public to lodge complaints with the police.”
