Tungabhadra water released to PBC

Water from Tungabhadra River was released from the head regulator of the right canal of Chitravathi Balancing Reservoir in Lingala mandal to Pulivendula Branch Canal on Thursday.

Legislative Council Deputy Chairman S.V. Satish Kumar Reddy and MP Y.S. Avinash Reddy lifted the gates and the water would cater to the drinking water needs of Pulivendula . The 1.166 tmcft of the water stored in the CBR would flow into Pulivendula Branch Canal at the seven-km point. The CBR water would be released to Kamasamudram tank for 40 days, Mr. Satish Kumar Reddy said.
