The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) will soon begin telecasting animated mythological serials on large LED screens in the waiting compartments of the Vaikuntham queue complex at Tirumala.

The idea was proposed by Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal during a review meeting with senior officials at the TTD headquarters here. Mr. Singhal suggested to the Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel (SVBC) officials to telecast devotional, cartoon and animated mythological episodes tailored for children during the waiting time.

Mr. Singhal instructed the engineering and SVBC officials to complete the task of laying underground cables in the Mada streets and the forest department to plant 10,000 saplings on footpath routes from Alipiri and on the ghat roads.

“All efforts should be made to contain the forest fires on Tirumala,” Mr. Singhal said. The meeting also reviewed the progress of ongoing engineering works at Tirumala, Amaravati, Kurukshetra, Araku, Parvatipuram, Seethammapeta and Rampachodavaram.
