TTD JEO K.S. Srinivasa Raju on Friday blew the bugle for the annual Navaratri Brahmotsavams of Lord Venkateswara scheduled to commence from the 14th of this month.

Speaking to the media after carrying out marathon inspections, along with the Tirupati (Urban) SP Gopinath Jatti atop the temple town, Mr. Raju said all arrangements were in place for the grand conduct of the annual event.

All kinds of arjitha sevas performed inside the hill temple stand dispensed during the festival period. Suprabhatam will be followed by uninterrupted darshan hours all through the day. With the Dasara holidays also concurring with the festival the administration was in anticipation of a huge turnout in the pilgrim crowd.

It is for this reason that all forms of privileged darshans being extended to the physically challenged and senior citizens, parents with infants, defence and NRI s have been scrapped off till 22nd of this month.

With an intention to allocate more darshan hours for the common pilgrims the administration has totally nullified the issue of Rs.300 special entry darshan on Gardua seva day which falls on 18th of this month besides restricting its issuance on the rest of the days. The plying of two-wheelers on both the ghat roads has been proscribed on the day of Garduda seva.

The deficiencies identified during the previous Salakatla Brahmotsavams last month have been plugged and all the departments have been kept on high vigil. With the south-east monsoons turning progressive and the town experiencing sporadic rains mobile teams of Police, TTDs Vigilance and security have been drafted for round-the-clock surveillance along the ghat roads.

An electrician will be posted at every electrical installation that have been set-up in innumerable number atop the entire town as part of the beautification programme. Mr. Raju said that the management was expecting the same kind of co-operation and co-ordination from the District police, APSRTC and other allied departments as was witnessed during the previous Salakatla Brahmotsavams.
