Tribal Welfare schools improve success rate

140 institutions register 100% success rate

The students of the Andhra Pradesh Tribal Welfare Department schools came out with flying colours in the SSC examination, the results of which were announced recently.

According to a release, out of 11,078 candidates who appeared for the exam 10,503 passed, registering a pass percentage of 95 which is equal to the State’s overall pass percentage.

Out of 298 tribal schools and hostels across the State, 140 schools have achieved 100% success and six students scored 10 GPA.

The overall pass percentage was 91.38 in 2017-18.

Krishna’s record

Among the districts, all the students of the gurukula schools have passed in Krishna district. In Vizianagaram, 98.57% students have passed and in Prakasam, Kadapa, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari and West Godavari more than 95% students have successfully cleared the exam. Nellore district registered a pass percentage of 77.44%.

Tribal Welfare Principal Secretary R.P Sisodia, Director G. Chandrudu and AP Gurukula secretary C.H. Bhanu Prasad congratulated the students.
