Authorities have revealed the identity of the unexpected visitor at the Government Lower Primary School at Pazhathottam in Vattavada grama panchayat here on Thursday. It was a tiger.

On that day, the children sighted a wild animal chasing a cow into the school compound. They cried out, rushed to the school building, and alerted the staff, who informed the authorities. The school was immediately closed and the students were sent home.

Authorities check pugmarks, confirm the arrival of the animal on an Idukki school campus.
