Andhra Pradesh, Tirupati, 08/06/2015: Chief Justice of India H.L. Dattu takes blessings with ‘Srivari Padalu’ (the Lord’s footwear) while offering prayers at Alipiri Padala Mandapam at the foot of Tirumala hills on Monday.

Chief Justice of India Justice H.L. Dattu on Monday trekked to the sacred shrine of Lord Venkateswara here. Justice Dattu, who is on a two-day pilgrimage, to the sacred shrine, has always preferred trekking along the Alipiri footpath route from Tirupati. At Alipiri he was cordially received by Justice N.V. Ramana and TTD JEO K.S. Srinivasa Raju. In accordance to the laid down tradition he first offered his prayers at Padalu Mandapam before embarking on his spiritual expedition.

Justice Dattu, who will spend night atop the temple town, will offer prayers to the presiding deity on Tuesday.
