This Sankranti, Telugu channels, particularly the general entertainment ones, went on an overdrive to keep viewers glued to their offerings. For three days, the entertainment channels roped in anchors and artistes and stirred up a series of activities and events that indeed turned out to be rather fun-filled and entertaining. There were games, contests, food festivals and what not and all the leading actors and anchors were seen taking an active part in the shows. Talent teams from serials such as ‘Mangamma gari Manumaralu’, ‘Koncham Kashtam Koncham Ishtam’ and ‘Gangatho Rambabu’ joined the Sankranti Sambaralu of Zee Telugu, offering a rare viewing of many artistes coming together.

Actor couple back

in action

After a hiatus, Preeti Nigam teams up with her husband Nagesh Karra to face the camera. The talented actress, apart from her regular television performances, also did the title role of ‘Chakali Ailamma’ for the big screen, and Nagesh shot an episode for ‘Saleem Kadhalu’ last week. “Earlier, we teamed up for some very popular serials such as ‘Ruthu Ragalu’ and ‘Kasturi’ and now we are back again acting together,” says Preeti. In fact, a serial had the couple cast as brother and sister and they did not hesitate in taking up the assignment. “We were taken aback a bit at the offer but then, we are professional actors and a role is a role for us,” she laughs.
