Teacher thrashed for ‘misbehaving’ with girls

Irate villagers of Khazipeta hamlet in V.Kota mandal on Monday morning thrashed a teacher of a local government Urdu medium high school alleging that he had misbehaved with girl students.

Some parents stormed the school at noon, dragged out the middle-aged teacher and beat him up by tying him to a tree. The parents alleged that the English teacher had been asking the girls to move closer to him and using objectionable language. In the morning, when his behaviour reportedly turned vulgar, the girls informed their parents, leading to the attack. Police rescued the teacher and said they would speak to higher officials on further action.
