Teacher MLC for pay revision before budget

January 27, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:45 am IST - VIZIANAGARAM:

Teacher MLC Gade Srinivasulu Naidu has demanded that Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu announce Pay Revision Commission (PRC) with 69 per cent fitment for State government employees and teachers before the State Budget.

Mr. Naidu also said that the government should extend GO No. 4 sanctioning one month’s basic pay recoverable in 10 months to the employees in Hudhud-hit Vizianagaram and Srikakulam districts. Now, the GO is limited to employees in Visakhapatnam district. He demanded that the government strictly implement the Right to Education Act and direct all private management schools, as a social responsibility, to extend free education to all children up to class VIII. In line with the call to adopt villages, Mr. Naidu said he had adopted Jami panchayat in Vizianagaram district, Navanampadu in Srikakulam district and Jogumpeta in Golugonda mandal in Visakhapatnam district. District PRTU president K. Gopal Patnaik, general secretary V. Thaviti Naidu and State Associate president A. Chandra Mouli were resent.
