At the height of charges and counter-charges being made by TRS and TDP leaders against each other in the wake of ‘Cash for Vote’ case involving MLA A. Revanth Reddy, TDP MP from Malkajgiri C. Malla Reddy created a flutter by praising Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao sky high on Friday.

Since May 31, a bitter war of words is going on between the two parties after TDP MLA Revanth Reddy was caught red-handed by the ACB sleuths while giving Rs.50 lakh to nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson to vote for TDP candidate. While the TRS alleged that the ‘Cash for Vote’ was planned by top TDP leadership, the TDP maintained that their MLA was trapped by TRS.

The first time MP’s remarks, which are likely to raise the eye brows of the party leadership came at the launch of distribution of house site pattas to the slum dwellers by the Chief Minister coinciding with the Formation Day celebrations of State formation.

“Today is a big festival for the poor people as they are getting house pattas. Poor people have got freedom today and it is because of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao. We should salute him,”Mr. Malla Reddy said at the function amid applause from the large gathering of women.

Not stopping at that Mr. Reddy said: “We have good CM and it is our luck that he had undertaken massive Swacch Hyderabad programme. It is our fortune that close to Rs. 330 crore World Bank funds were released for Malkajgiri parliamentary constituency.”

Stating that Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao was a hardworking Chief Minister, the TDP MP exuded confidence that Telangana, the 29th State would flourish on all fronts as it had a pool of talent.
