November 23, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:44 am IST - HYDERABAD:

Telugu Desam MP C.M. Ramesh on Sunday denied that he had any differences with Irrigation Minister Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao and lauded the efficiency and honesty of the latter.

At a press conference, he said the letter written by him to the committee pertained to irregularities committed in the execution of GNSS flood flow canal during 2013 when Kiran Kumar Reddy was the Chief Minister. He had not made any mention of Mr. Uma Maheswara Rao in the letter. Stating that there has been not a single charge of corruption against Mr. Uma Maheswara Rao although more than Rs.9,000 crore was being spent on various irrigation projects in the State, he accused the YSRC leaders of trying to divert the attention of people by making false allegations.

He also hit out at YSR Congress president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy for not visiting flood-hit areas in the State.
