TDP activists burn Jagan’s effigy in Ongole

June 04, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 06:02 am IST - ONGOLE:

Activists of the Telugu Desam Party set ablaze the effigy of YSR Congress president Y.S.Jaganmohan Reddy in protest against the YSRC’s support to the Telangana Rashtra Samiti in the MLC elections in that state.

Leading the protest, Telugu Desam Party district president D.Janardhana Rao contended that the YSRC chief had betrayed the cause of Andhra Pradesh by aligning with the TRS which was responsible for the present woes of the beleaguered State.

The TRS had won five MLC seats by allegedly offering inducements to MLAs from other parties at a time when its numerical strength was enough to win only three MLC seats, he claimed.
