District Collector Ch. Vijayamohan inspected the ongoing work at the Handri Neeva Sujala Sravanthi field distribution canals at Sivaramapuram, Gargeyapuram and Kallur mandals on Monday.
Stating that the field distribution canals in the package No. 23 envisaged to supply irrigation water to 4,200 acres, the Collector expressed discontent over the tardy pace of works and directed the General Manager of Ruthwik Agency Nissar Ahmed to expedite the works.
Noting that the canal works were not progressing with uniformity, Mr. Vijayamohan told the engineers to ensure proper levelling of the canals.
