The Sri Venkateswara University has been placed in the 201-250 bracket by the Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings 2019. A total of 400 Asian universities have been featured this year.
The ranking uses the same thirteen performance indicators as the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings, but are recalibrated to reflect the attributes of Asia’s institutions. The universities are judged across all their core missions such as teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook in order to get a comprehensive and balanced comparison.
Criteria
The set of criteria was developed in consultation with regional experts and stakeholders and is designed to reflect key priorities for universities in Asia.
Expressing happiness at the ranking, Vice-Chancellor V.V.N. Rajendra Prasad said the varsity got 27.2 in citations, 34.6 in industry outcome, 19.1 in international outlook, 12.1 in research and 43.7 in teaching. He congratulated the teaching, non-teaching staff, research scholars and students for the achievement.
