Five IAS / IPS officers were transferred and given new posting, a G.O. issued on Saturday by Principal Secretary (GAD) Praveen Prakash said.
Former APSRTC MD N.V. Surendra Babu (IPS), who had been waiting for posting, was posted as Director General of Special Protection Force (SPF) in place of T.A. Tripathi (IPS). He was also given the responsibility of enforcement against illegal sand mining and enforcements pertaining to the Excise Department. Mr. Tripathi was directed to report to the DGP.
Satishchandra (IAS), who had been waiting for posting, was appointed as Special Chief Secretary (higher education and skill development) in place of J.S. Venkateswara Prasad (IAS), who was directed to report to the GAD.
Disaster Management Special Commissioner and ex officio Additional Secretary (revenue - DM) K. Kanna Babu (IAS) was given the additional charge of the newly created Department of Village and Ward Volunteers and Village and Ward Secretariats.
